TOR - Tatooine

Since someone deleted the original by mistake (cough SD cough) I'm putting up another.
Tatooine, a wretched hive of scum and villainy. This desert planet is useless to most, and only useful for Bounty Hunters, Smugglers, and other criminals or people who want to lay low.

A modified Foray-class blockade runner lands outside the cantina, seeming to darken the skies. Exiting the ship, a single, cloaked figure enters the bar, sending a strange chill through all the occupants, whose heads turn to see the cause. His voice filters through the helmet he wears, slightly cold and mechanical.
"Serkan... it's been a long time. When we met last, I believe you tried to kill me. If you've given up on that, I have a proposition for you... in private, of course."

I grin slightly. "Hey, now, Siin, that was just business and you know it. Besides, you're always getting me into trouble. Don't be offended if I don't give you a hug," I reply, getting up from my booth but making sure the Dark Jedi could see that I still had my blades.
"Where would you like to go?"

"My ship will do, if you're brave enough to come on board."
Without another word, the Dark Jedi turns and exits the bar, taking the aura of fear and uneasiness with him. Immediately those inside the cantina resume their normal activities, carrying on hushed conversations about various shady topics and enjoying their drinks.

I exit the bar as well, flicking coin at the bartender and finishing my drink.
Following Siin, I cross my arms.
"Proposition, eh?"

Taj walks up the boarding ramp of the Rift, not bothering to answer until they are safe from prying eyes and ears. He walks through the ship with Valerius following him, feeling the presence of the Dark Side emanating from the ship, clinging to him and drawing him in. The Dark Jedi submits to it completely, allowing it to fill him, reveling in its power as it sharpens his mind and gives him focus.

A small ship drifts out of hyperspace from the sky above. It enters the atmosphere with precision, beginning its decent on the dessert planet. The ship lands in one of the hangars, and a tall man walks out of the main door.
"Well, this should be interesting." He says coyly.

I scowl as I enter the ship. Its mere presence is uncomfortable, distracting. Crossing my arms and not bothering to hide my displeasure, I make sure not to touch anything besides the floor.

Indeed, the man sitting in the corner of the bar thinks to himself.

Kasler stares at you sullenly, but quickly turns away to the bar.

Siin enters the bridge of the Rift, sitting down at the console and motioning to a seat next to him. "Have a seat."

I hesitantly take a seat, though I do not get comfortable once seated. I cross my arms.
"You know I hate it when you beat around the bush like this," I remark, knowing full well he was doing so to bother me.

The Dark Jedi removes his helmet and hands you a datapad, tapping it with a finger.
"This datapad contains what little I have uncovered about an artifact... a holocron, which I believe was owned by Darth Malak prior to his death. I need your help retrieving it. It will be dangerous... and you will be well-payed, should you accept."
He pauses and smiles slightly.
"We can hardly take the Rift where we're going, so we will need to... shall we say, 'borrow' a Republic transport. Also, we will need to acquire some means of disguising ourselves as Republic soldiers. In all probability, we can accomplish both these tasks at the same time."

I read the text on the datapad, somewhat surprised. "Malak, eh?"
I think for a moment. "Alright. I'm in, if only because you've piqued my interest."

Siin waves his hand over the console and the ship hums to life.
"We'll have to commandeer a Republic ship. It matters little to me what kind, so long as we can use it to get onto Dantooine without arousing suspicion."

"And here I was looking forward to arousing suspicion," I mutter, still somewhat on-edge. "What's the plan, exactly? Get in, kill stuff, get what we need, get to Dantooine fast, and then hope they haven't heard tell of the missing ship and scan us for ID?"

"Essentially, yes. The holocron will likely be in the most secure vaults... sneaking in will be difficult, though if it comes to a fight I'm sure we can handle it- all the same, I'd prefer to fight my way out, not in."
Taj gets out of his chair, leaving the bridge and heading for his quarters. He half-turns back, a smile playing around the corners of his mouth.
"Oh, and don't worry about the ship... she knows where she's going."

The skin on my back crawling, I nod. "Yeah, I'm used to the routine."
I keep my hands to myself and remain in the chair, still not at ease in the ship.

"There's a training area with a sparring bot, perhaps you'd be more comfortable there. It's near the rear of the ship."
The Dark Jedi pauses as the engines fire up.
"We're on our way..."

I get up and head towards the rear of the ship, inspecting the training area, though not intent on tiring myself out in a battle but looking for a place to escape my sinking feeling.
