Star Wars Episode VII
I can't believe I'm writing this, but old Georgy just sold Lucasfilm to Disney for a cool 4 billion. Yeah, 4 billion, the sell out...
So, by 2015, there will be a new Star Wars film...
What do you guys think about this? I just don't really know what to say right now, aside from the fact that Disney in charge of Star Wars is baaaaaaad news, and that the canon is going to be messed up big time.

Okay.....
CHILL....
Sorry about that.
I have to admit, I'm not very passionate about Star Wars in and of itself. But I like it well enough...
And Disney is going to SCREW it to Karzahni!
That's my standpoint, I'm sticking with it. Any Disney "Star Wars" content will be heresy and I will treat it as such.

So there.
Thanks, PHINN.

Yep, Disney is gonna have to work EXTREMELY HARD to even try and be like what George made Star Wars. Disney is more than likely gonna ruin Star Wars.

I know what you’re thinking: "Did he fire six shots, or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I’ve kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you’ve got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well do ya, punk?

Re: Star Wars Episode VII
Unfortunately, I am pretty pessimistic as well. Now I know what it feels like to be a Star Wars fan before the prequels came out, but with warning of what is to come this time. Don't get me wrong, I love the prequels, but Disney....
Yeecccch!
Also, I feel sorry for the guys at Del Rey and Dark Horse, with their publishing rights most likely being snatched away within the coming year. Although I do not watch it, it will be interesting to see what they do with the Cartoon Network show too.
EDIT: Not only did they get their hands on Star Wars, Disney now owns the rights to Skywalker Sound, Industrial Light and Magic and.... Indy-flippin-ana Jones. Huh. Huh, huh, huh.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII
Well said, Vulturius.
They're probably going to try and revamp Indiana Jones, turn it into something like the Pirates of the Caribbean.
Even if they do follow canon perfectly, they can't even have the same actors! New actors, new voices...
This is going to be:
1. Extremely awful
2. Extremely enraging
3. Extremely interesting
and
4. Extremely Funny.
You know what's probably going to happen? We're probably going to get into college, and "Star Wars" "Episode 7" (heresy!) is going to get released into theaters. We'll probably get surrounded by hordes of screaming elementary kids rushing around and bumping into eachother in excitement.
They'll probably say something like "Now this is Star Wars!"
And then we can confidently grin smugly, go home, have a nice cup of tea, and watch a real Star Wars film.
It'll be the biggest waste of theater money that they'll ever have spent.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII
Well.... They actually might have some of the same actors in cameos, but they said it will be a completely new story.
And, I must admit that I will be going into the theater at midnight to see a new Star Wars, even if it is Disney.

I'm not going to waste my money that way.
I'm joking, actually, I never get to go to theaters.
